Welcome to grace Church!
First off, we're thrilled you're researching what it would be like to join us at Grace Church on a Sunday. We hope this list of frequently asked questions anticipates your curiosities and provides thorough answers so that you are able to prepare well for and feel comfortable during your first visit.
Where do I Park?
Our parking is in the front of the church building and can't be missed.
Where do I Go when entering the building?
Right through the front doors. There will often be folks hanging around between the front doors and the worship space - with many who might say "hi" and even more who will be happy to help you find where you need to go.
what about my kiddos?
A children's "Check-In" station is located on the right side of the main gathering space, just past the Cafe. All children's spaces are located down the hallway to the right, behind the check-in station, and you're more than welcome to look them over before entrusting us with your children. Safety is a top priority when it comes to our care of others, and we want you to be comfortable with the spaces we're providing.
Grace Church currently offers small group times for children aged Nursery-Kindergarten, and for those in grades 1-5, during the 9:30am time only. All volunteers and staff serving in children's spaces follow a strict Safe Sanctuaries policy for safeguarding minors and have been trained and background-checked by church leadership. (Students in middle school and high school, are currently encouraged to join in with the larger church worship times.)
Are children welcome in worship?
Of course! We love and welcome all young people in our main worship space. And, if you change your mind at some point in the service, the childcare team will be happy to have your little one join them.
What is the 9:30am worship service like?
We meet in a spacious auditorium that is directly through the front doors, once you walk through a large, open entry area. The worship space is well lit and offers different seating arrangements, some in rows and some around tables. The service is led by one of our pastors, who will share readings from the Bible, offer prayers and opportunities for response, and a time of teaching. The music is led by musicians who play in a contemporary style and utilize a variety of songs week-to-week, some very old and some brand new. Service lasts around 60-75 minutes.
What do folks wear?
When we gather for worship, we focus on connecting with God and each other - not on what we wear. Grace Church has people from all walks of life who are a part of Sunday mornings - and you'll see quite a range of clothing styles amongst us. We encourage those who are joining us to just come as you are.
